Ultimately, the sheetrock repair was already started when I got to the Charlotte home and my job was a bit easier, but the homeowner was lost at this point! Instead a simply round hole, he had the same thing you see in the picture, and cut a nice big square into his sheetrock, wondering how he would attach a repair section to it!

From the moment I arrived at the home, I knew this project needed to be done ASAP for the homeowner. They had a party planned later in the week and truly did not want a hole in their wall! Can’t say I blame them…

The owner actually had a small bucket of drywall compound and they were ready to fill this entire hole with the mud! For tools, they had an old spatula  (yes, an old kitchen spatula) and planned on using it to smooth the sheetrock compound into the hole. Combine that with some old newspapers lying around and I knew immediately, they were in over their head! Having the right tools for the job alone, would have come close to the invoice they paid to have the sheetrock repaired!

Obviously, I fix broken walls in the Charlotte area! That’s just too easy though isn’t it? Well, many times, someone will end up with a hole in the drywall, be it from a doorknob, errant hammer swing, or whatever the reason. I fix the holes left behind! I wish I could tell you how much the charge is, but in reality, each job is different. If the hole is right next to a stud, I may need to pull down more of the broken sheetrock to get a good place to anchor the new piece onto. Other times, I may just need to put on a little mud, dry it up and sand it out… it really does differ with each job.

Ceiling Repair and Smoothing

You got it! You know all that popcorn that was sprayed onto your ceiling several years ago… I come in and scrape it all off, sand your ceiling down to a smooth finish and repaint it for you. This is probably one of the most popular home improvements over the past few years and 9/10 times, the homeowners tried to do it themselves first and realized what a hard job it is! Call me… its not worth your headaches!

This is a hard subject because depending on how busy I am, I may go outside my normal service area to do a project, it truly depends on the nature of it.

Normally, I will do Drywall Repair in Charlotte, Lake Norman, Cornelius, Davidson, Matthews, Mint Hill etc. I try to avoid Monroe as it is just too far for me!

Overall, his project was not that big of a drywall repair job. He had several walls that needed to be fixed as well as some ceiling drywall repairs that needed to be completed.

The project took us a total of only 2 days and was well within Greg’s budget as part of the remodel. The most important part of this however is that is was done the right way! Since he chose to use a Professional Drywall Repair Company, he did not end up with those uneven spots in his wall or ceilings.
